HAPPY BIRTHDAY, "BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER"

Ten years ago a little show called "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" debuted on the now defunct WB. Seven seasons later and after amazingly innovative episodes such as "Hush' (aka the Silent Episode) and "Once More, With Feeling" (The Musical), the Scooby Crew saved the world by destroying the dastardly Hellmouth in Sunnydale, CA and the series was over.

Well, I'd sooner that hellmouth pop up somewhere else and get Buffy and her crew back in action.

Genius creator Joss Whedon has been working on some other project since "Buffy" went off the air - oh by the way, THANKS A LOT, Sarah Michelle Gellar for quitting and kaputting the whole enterprise -- but nothing as addictive as "Buffy."

Yes, you can get "Season 8" now in comic book version, but nothing compares to a weekly hour with Buffy, Willow, Xander, Giles, and their various mates - Anya, Tara, and let's not forget Buffy's little sis Dawn who grew to be about four inches taller than Buffy in the two and a half seasons she was on the show.

I'm still pissed that Joss couldn't get the proposed Buffy Saturday morning cartoon off the ground. It would have been kinda like the Sabrina: The Teenage Witch cartoon, only with more killing. More killing! :sigh:
